Pinterest Tips and Trends – August 2018
Is it really August already? These summer days are flying by and it’s time to share this month’s Pinterest tips and trends because we all want as much Pinterest traffic as we can get.
Pinterest Tips and Trends – August 2018
What can you do to help your account continue to grow?
Tip #1 – Pin Size
I am making a new recommendation. I think for now it is totally a good idea to make the recommended size of 600×900 but also make one your normal long size as well. I think it will help accounts as they make any more changes to have our base covered and have both. Or at least it couldn’t hurt. If you need help with pin creation. I have brought a new girl on my team who is amazing at this. So if you want help let me know and she will do it for you. I think we are super cheap in price too!
Tip #2 – Pretty Pins
Make sure you are creating pretty pins that have color in them. They need to be eye catching.
Tip #3 – Live Pinning
I continued my testing with Live Pinning. Pinterest is wanting you to be engaged. The days of scheduling it and forgetting it are gone. Put Pinterest on your phone and take 5 minutes a day to live pin. Live pinning is where you are doing a quick search for something and straight scheduling it to your boards.
Tip #4 – Holiday Pins
Pinners start searching for pins at a minimum of 45 days before any event or holiday. It is taking longer for pins to make it to the smart feed with the newest algorithms so the earlier you start pinning holiday links, the better.
